The Lyme Park parkrun will start on 22nd February at 9am. Louise Robbins (who came to talk to us back in July) has actively promoted the setting up of a Parkrun, to supplement the other running activities in the Park, including marked routes, and regular running groups.
The Lyme Park parkrun will start in the main car park, head south up the path, and then take a left along the side of the woods. The run heads back towards the house, and then takes a long loop north, passing by the Cage, nearly to the A6 main entrance, and then south again back towards the house. From memory the paths are quite good, with a stony section at the start – it could be an ideal event for people wanting to get a bit of speed for Tony's fell/trail events in the Summer Series!
