Buxsworth 5 – 1st May.

A superb evening and a nice venue for this the fourth Summer Series race of this year.  An excellent turn-out to match.  Results from the Goyt Valley Striders web-site follow.  The overall race winner was William Neill from City of Stoke AC in 28:11.  First Lady was our own Diane McVey – well done Di.

    Is 56 our biggest-ever turnout? Nearly half the Club! [I was just behind Leanne and Belinda after speed-walking up to the 2.5mile summit, but, sorry, I am not competitive going downhill at present].

    I dont understand Trevor…I am sure that I have heard you say that walking up hills is most definitely not allowed in running events and something that you never do !!?? 🙂

    Fantastic weather, makes you feel like summer is coming, really enjoyable race, good choice from Tony. What a wonderful sight we made at the start when the race joined the road, all you could see was a sea of gold and blue.

    Yes , well done ,superb turn out , a summer series record . Keep up the enthusiasm , but with such a large number of us competing , get your entries in soon for Bowdon as we will probably take it over its limit.
    Shining Tor next , there are hills in this too.

    Oh how I love the hills…..Admittedly I enjoyed it though!!!!
