A small but determined WRC team took on this deceptively tough little race from Whaley Bridge carnival. It was a long hard climb up to Windgather Rocks while the rain lashed down. The descent was fast, furious and increasingly slippery. By the time we'd squelched back across the shitty field we were more than ready for the final dunk in the River Goyt.
You can re-live the start and river at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6cJxcn8CJA and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAG2CsxSIx0

Great dive Jim but you missed the water .
Janine and Mr Dodds’ times were hampered by technical optometrical issue causing some delay in their bimbling…
I think the ‘technical optometrical issue’ cost me at least 18 minutes and 4 seconds…..
At least…. sure we were just behind the Grahams when Doddy stopped to help to find my contact lens in the driving rain near the top of the first hill! Thanks Doddy – much appreciated! But would he have stopped if it had been a SS race???
From the eye watering description Doddy gave me at 9 am Sunday morning, had he known what it would entail, I doubt he would have stopped at all Janine!
