Its easy to read the comment from Ian and to reply ! To do it justice , I am honestly not sure what to say. I know your modesty may prevent , but a background to the event , the attention to detail in the prep and not just training inv olved and some detail of your 24 hours may help .Until then ‘wow’ and congratulations .
Andy really pleased you cracked the BG. It was an honour and privilege to have witnessed such a supreme effort in difficult conditions and against the clock. Now enjoy those hot cross buns!!
Absolutely awesome. To put this into perspective, less than 2000 people have ever done this since it was first achieved way back in 1932. Total respect. As good as anyone has achieved in WRC colours.
Well done Andy. Excellent!
For those that aren’t aware. The Bob Graham Round is a long distance fell running challenge of about 65 miles. A distance which on it’s own would be pretty impressive!
But when you realise this 65 mile route traverses 42 Lake District Peaks which equates to 26,000 feet of climb, you start to realise what a fantastic achievement this is. Most runners who attempt it fail to complete it.
Looking forward to reading about it in the newsletter.
Thanks Malcolm for explaining as I didn’t have a clue what it was, just saw the time Andy was running and thought WOW – but even more so now.
Andy – that is truly amazing and so are you – well done!!!
Many congratulations Andy on a very impressive performance. I knew watching you finish the Luberon Marathon in the heat last year that if anyone could do it you could. We are all humbled.
You make James Bond look like Andy Pandy, is there anything you can’t tackle and conquer? You just keep getting better and better. Absolutely fantastic achievement Andy, delighted for you and looking forward to hearing your story.
Phenomenal achievement Andy, very well done.
