Those of you have been on the club site today will doubtless be aware of the injury to Jon and the actions of Kate and Richard .
We could debate this issue but we have been able to covene by phone and email a WRC committee meeting of sufficient members to make a decision that covers the club constitution.
The circumstances are unique and the decision made does not create a precedent but a commitee agreement .
Kate and Richard will both receive the points that they would have gained at the time in the race when they had to stop . Don will ascertain the correct information. That is parity , we will never know if they would have gained or lost places .
So no person is disadvantaged , we will also honour the points gained by those that completed the race .This does mean that we will have two people both earning a notional 50 points or 45 points etc ( Kate and one other and Richard and one other ).
I feel sure that you will agree with your commitee decision .
