( 253 finishers ) |
Note: There was no difference between the gun and chip times published ????? Looks to me like the chip timer and the finish clock were out of sync !!
Full results to appear on Spectrum Striders website in due course.
Any queries - then please let Ian or myself know, asap. I don't think everyone is recorded in the official results I have : Allan McCormick ? Diane & Jeremy Bygrave ?
Apologies, these are clearly wrong – a more up-to-date list has appeared at : http://www.chiptiming.co.uk/pdf/whitley10k2012.pdf
Don
I thought at Whitley the chip timer was synced only to the gun as we dont cross any chip timing mats at the start, only the finish. Was the same 2 years ago? Happy to be told I am talking rubbish, naturally!
I think I saw Allan peel off onto the ‘fun run’ course at about 7k !
The full results are on http://www.chiptiming.co.uk/pdf/whitley10k2012.pdf
The times are all out by about 20 seconds as well – the ones published are faster than we did!
Ignore and place head in sand !!!!!!!!!!!!!
agree with Ponytail; times are too fast and with Martin, no pad at start, I think they were only using chips to give a gun finish time not a chip time.
Janine, was your 20 seconds between your watch and your official time or the clock? I went under the clock in 46:32 but have a time of 46:09.
20 seconds between my watch and the time posted above.
I’m missing from the results above. Am on the full results.
The times listed in the results are all approx 20-25s too fast. The big clock gave me a finish time of 34.10. The suspicion is that they started the chip timing clock at exactly 11.00am where as we actually started running a few seconds before 11. But there are also reports of the course being 90-100m long … Whatever the positions remain the same. And it was a really nice local race, well organised, pleasantly undulating.
I think somebody just forgot to start the clock on the gun , good job it only took 25 seconds for the penny to drop otherwise PB’s all round .
You can’t beat Dave and Paul and their stop watch .
Graham Screawn is missing from above list. He was 33rd, finishing well to hold off 3 Vale Royal rivals and I think secure the GP win for us.
Looks like the times have been adjusted on the link . Still a PB .
