Hell Runner Up North, Approx 18 tough K, Sunday 11th 2011
A group of intrepid , highly tuned Wilmslow RC Athletes, guests and supporters headed off onto the Cheshire plains to compete in the 2011 Hell Runner up North. Inspired by Mark Bale's fantastic performance on the previous day, a fifth place finish in a time of 1:31:37, and the fact that it was 20 degrees warmer than last year and dry, we were all in high spirits and full of confidence as the team bus trundled its way down the A56.
The field did not appear to be as large as last year and the course was a lot drier considering the amount of rain recently . We had intended to stick together around the course but the the start was very congested and we had soon split up into three or four groups.
It is great event and the two bogs that have to be negotiated are really good fun, photo's to follow as proof and hopefully Patricks report.
