19 September 2010 As it said on the can this was a chase around the delightful Boggart Hole. No, really it is actually a nice and extensive park hiding a lake and some fairly testing hills. The 3 lap course gave us plenty of chance to enjoy the scenery and…
12 September 2010 Well organised race out and back along the quiet roads around Blossoms Lane with a rather slippery off road loop around the footpaths around Handforth Dean. Entertaining and the times suggest it was even longer than the traditional Gawsworth course. 1 Owen Greene (Trafford AC) 35.172 Rob…
Gawsworth 10k This was a day which parted company with tradition. Sir Nicholas, no longer the local MP, nothing to do with expenses scandal, was not there to welcome us. Stephen Feber, Wilmslow's own Gawsworth specialist, had injured his ankle racing in Cornwall. The course, long famed for being 10k…

Hi It was great to see so many Wilmslow runners out in force yesterday at the Stainland 7 and a special congratulations to Louise Rudd for first lady. I hope Louise will come back next year to defend her title along with another Wilmslow contingent. I hear that you have…
Stainlands 7 Sunday September 5th. Too many people had told me that this was the race they were going to pick-up the points they needed, I feared we were going to be disappointed. As soon as you left the M62 it became clear, as the organiser admitted with a grin,…
Devotees of the hill may be interested in this comparison of the Stainland 7 versus the Langley 7. Stainland wins with a total of 896 feet of climbing, against Langley's relatively measley 735. Plus Stainland has the added interest of a few corkers thrown in at the end of the…
