(265 runners)

Ian and I thought before the race that we might just have a record turnout on our hands.  Alas, it was only the joint highest turnout (43 – along with Warrington) of the 2010 series.  So the all-time record of 45 set at Bowdon in 2009 still stands – which is not even half the club!  With some notable regulars missing, surely the day we reach 50 cannot be far away.  But, with the races left, I doubt it will happen this year.

  1. Hi,
Some of your runners came to the Stainland 7 today. There are some photos on http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/ANDREWTHRIP/Stainland7FreeButDonationsForJanesAppealAppreciatedWwwJustgivingComKarenThrippleton#
We hope you enjoyed your race over here in Yorkshire. If you want some more hills, there is the Bluebell Trail in early May 2011. But this one has Trooper Lane in it which is a significant hill to say the least.
    Good running,
    Jimmy Smith
