We ran a revised route which was just as well as a "perfect storm" of great weather, peak running season and 100th run celebrations meant we had over 400 runners on the start line.
Matt Jackson started out at an amazing pace and looked on for something close to 15 minutes at halfway. Unfortunately he slowed on the second lap partly as a result of running into a tree – something of a hazard at Bramhall.
Warrington were out in force and I enjoyed a classic battle with my old mate Liam who hung on grimly for 4.95km before hurtling past me to the finish.
