Wilmslow vets Rob Downs, Malcolm Fowler and Stuart Parrott made it a one, two, three for the Cheshire club this week in icy conditions at the park.
In his post-race interview Rob admitted that the icy conditions and some slippy corners had put paid to a sub-17 minute showing, but expect quicker things from him over the coming weeks as Spring finally arrives and the course dries up.
Macclesfield youngster Stuart Price pushed Rob hard on the first lap but paid the price on the second lap as Malcolm and Stuart Parrott eased past to complete the Wilmslow hat-trick. Malcolm, who finished particularly strongly, could at least take comfort from recording the highest age grading of the day.
