The relays are 12 stages for the men and 6 for the ladies . For the men its a mix of 6 long legs (4.2 miles) and 6 short legs ( 2.4 miles) while for the ladies its 6 short legs .
The same weekend over the UK , are the Midlands relays and the Southern relays .
The top 25 teams in each region have the honour of racing in the National Road Relays which are on the 18th April.
Its a benchmark for Wilmslow to measure ourselves at a higher level than just Cheshire or Greater Manchester …..for some its the aspirational effect to understand what the next level up looks like and to provide the motivation to kick on to another level.
Relays are great fun and really inclusive from a "team" point of view .
We have two strong teams and I know that all racing are just raring to go !!
Even with some missing , its a measure of everyones talents and commitment at training throughout the groups that we can still have very competitive teams.
The forecast is good so why not come and watch ! The races start at 11.30 and the ladies should be finished by 1.15 with the men racing until 2.45 ish.
Support is always greatly appreciated …..you could even put your kit on and enjoy the park !
