Ian and Geoff may have managed to get wet cycling in to Bramhall but the rain stopped before the off which left it warm and humid if not quite Beijing. There was another great turnout in the park with 126 finishing the 5k.
Both the race and organisation wasn't quite as frantic as it has been recently and with no Malcolm and resting Stuart I was able to sneak a morale booster. Phil Smith back from London for the holidays pushed me hard on the first lap. Many of you will remember Phil's enthusiastic training with us over the winter leading up to the Half and FLM. Neil made another comeback taking it very easy this time which seemed to have paid off.
I was slightly surprised to be pipped for the age graded win by a 78 year old lady. She in turn was overtaken on the run in by a 6 year old boy. All in all plenty to smile about as the photos show.
