There’s certainly a degree of expectation and anticipation ; some of our injured runners are returning while others are talking of how many days to go before race one at Heaton Park ;……..Well its two weeks on Saturday !
Traditionally the weather is mild and pleasntly autumnal on a great course : A real chance for those who want to dip their toes in the water (literally at the stream)to find out what its all about . A course that is firm and fast as it undulates through woods . open ground , across a stream and a push up a sharp rise : fantastic !
Trail shoes will suffice over the this terrain : try before you buy ! No need for fell shoes here , unless of course you have them !
The suggestion of nominating a post race pub to replenish the energy stores seems popular .
I will pepare a spreadsheet for availabilty as suggested by Tony .
Lets make it another successful winter , but equally imortantly one thats fun for all.
