Christleton 5k Results

Christleton 5k results are now published at http://www.ukresults.net/2006/christle5k.html

Congrats to Stuart (14th overall and 3rd M40, and breaking the club record by an amazing 20 seconds!).  Also to Kate Ayres (first F45) and Jane (second F35 by only 1 second!), who both beat the Club Ladies 5k record.  Wilmslow fielded 28 runners, who performed as shown.  (Kate Sutton and Mike Cooper were not listed as ‘Wilmslow’ and so were missed when I first posted this article – if anyone else has been missed let Andy know).

  1. hey dont forget me, i did 18.23 and scooped up another pb .mike c

  2. Stuart’s amazing time also broke club M40 record by nearly 20s (previously held by Tom from Christleton 2005). Certainly tired me out trying to keep up…

    1. Because the finish line was not marked, self-recorded times may differ.
    2. Many runners were also faster than shown in the results, because it appears that the time keepers had missed 3 times by the rear of the race. e.g. My correct time was 24.09, just ahead of 2 others. Kate A. told me her watch time was 18.22, which probably means a correct time of 18.23, from the results.
    3. Both Kate Ayres and Jane Clarke smashed the WRC Ladies’ 5Km record, previously held by Jane at 18.55 from last year’s Christleton 5Km. Fantastic!
    Trevor
