Out and about mid November

Lots of walking and hiking; some solo, some family or partner.

MarkB continuing with his rehab notched a 5k. IanR managed an outing of 10k at a very good pace.

TracyB can run and walk but giving directions at the same time –  who knows 😊. If anyone finds a little old gentleman lost in Dunham please help him.

Katy has been running, walking and cycling to keep fit. Jan chose more biking than running.

Lots of you are still able to run reps: Tim Likes the runway 500; Rob and Andrew the Middlewood Way;  Tracy – Bonny Hill and Dunham Park; GrahamS – Hillcrest Hills; Rebecca – Garden of Eden; Mike – the Airport Tunnels.

What’s your favourite isolation rep course??

This week Rob had mixed wildlife spotting with lakes and hills. Amongst the critters seen were: parakeets, squirrels, tree creepers and cormorants.  Jules finished her Middlewood runs with a Lyme Park special on Sunday.  PaulN was out there to at some stage with his Sunday morning head clearing run.

Damian has been racing himself this week; on one occasion Barry popped up and split the pair. Jarrod had a week on runs. Laura and Col have been mixing it with runs and cycling.

Claire Shuttle’d about in the Forrest for a change of scenery. Huma has been jogging locally. Rebecca has been zooming, training walking; and, being a woman, running, talking and drinking coffee all at the same time!!

Matt has been out trying to de-stress with all the hours he’s been working. Doing some quite late-night runs after leaving work and mending windows!

I got out my I-Spy WRC runners book again. Now crossed of John, Kathryn, Ian and possibly KateM this lock down. GrahamD won the worst smelling shoes this week, following RichardH across  Muddy and other sticky stuff around Motram and the Bollin.

Birthday boy Ian was out bombing the Wilmslow 5k park run course. All he wants for Christmas is a Vaccine and by keeping fit he hopes to get a good start to get ahead in the queue!! Jill has been putting in some consistent long runs.

WRC Strava League had the familiar leaders, with one intruder. Dan pipped Rob in distance with graham third. Longest individual run was Rob [27.6k] pipping Graham [27k]. Climbing was Rob as usual, With IanS second ang Claire popping up third – helped by her Macc Forest rambling no doubt.

On Time Rob led as usual with GrahamS third. Hipperty popped up second having kept away from any drug testing agency.  He was helped by hitting the NHS Couch to Potato 5k training plan.  Mind you if he had listened to Laura at the end of the reps saying rest between rep days, he wouldn’t have been out aching and limping for 2 days!!  Still Week 2 reps this week. Aches and strains permitting!
