Parkrun results – 18th January 2020

A cold start to Saturday morning and half marathon and 10k races beckoning runners for Sunday!

Well icy and slippery conditions meant it was a cautious approach by our runners and no real peak performances – AB excluded. Still 25 club runners ran at 6 events.

Goodness knows what the weather was like for RichardLa when he first-timed at Fort William! Other singlets included Oliver who took on Didsbury; PaulG who was brave weather-wise to attack Lyme Park.

ChrisC and Carolyn chose a crispy Wythenshawe  to run and breakfast at.

Bramhall saw a few of the usual suspects turn up.  Unusually Barry led Rob home. Barry had his fastest time there for 20 months!  Rob still had an AG of 83.97%.  PaulN with a quick run, then Janine and  MarkC  taking it easy in his 99th parkrun and saving himself for Helsby.

It was Wilmslow as usual which had the biggest turnout of club runners.

At Wilmslow we had 14 runners. Nicky, Don and Roy were volunteering.  Our club runners seemed to run in pairs.

Jim was our first runner home in 5^th place. Not far behind was TrevorM and MikeH. Rebecca chased RichardHa around, giving him a good run for his money. She is only 2 runs off her 200th!  A little further back GrahamS chased Robin round !  Robin has now done 49 runs! Next club runner was Tom  who returned to park running after 13 months.   A gap before we then had  Ians being followed closely by ColinC.  Further back IanR was taking it easy with the icy paths. JohnP was very close to that great 250th time he did last week. He was chased by Kathryn who is so consistent at the moment. No Jan Saturday – obviously saving herself for Helsby! But RobW put in his consistent 5k I,  Going very carefully around was AndrewC – he recorded his slowest Wilmslow time – injured or pacing!

Whoops missed Sharon who ran at Didsbury with Oliver and was first lady finisher!! Need some better glasses!
