Fun Run in Support of Amputees

Bring your children for a fun run at Dunham Massey, boost the numbers!

‘I’m sure you have seen the news the past few weeks – the NHS now has funding for sports activity prosthetics for children. We would really like to encourage more children to be active and so Pace Rehabilitation, an independent amputee rehab clinic, is holding a ‘charity fun run/walk’ in early June.

The event is open to all – children, adults, their families and friends. You do not have to be an amputee to take part and you certainly don’t need a high spec running blade before you can turn up!

When: Sunday 3rd June, 9.30am
Where: Dunham Massey National Trust Park, Altrincham, WA14 4SJ
Adult entry: 5 GBP
Under 12’s entry: 1 GBP
NB. This is a non-profit event and all proceeds go to charity. If there are multiple people in your ‘party’ you will only be required to pay 1 adult entry fee before the event when you send in your application form. It is then up to you on the day if you wish to make further contributions.

There are 3 different courses to suit all needs: 1km, 3km or 5km

You can walk, run, hop – whatever you fancy! It’s just about having fun and being active.

You will have access to the park grounds for the rest of the day but access to the house and formal gardens are chargeable if you are not a National Trust member.
Blue badge parking is free and there are 45 designated spaces in the main carpark. Parking is also free for National Trust members or 6 GBP for the day if you are not a member.

There is a Teddy Bears Picnic happening in the park that day from 12-4pm so if you wanted to make a family day of it, it should be a lovely event. Please see the website for further details https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/dunham-massey/whats-on

Please find attached the event flyer and application form. Please complete 1 application form per runner as we need to be aware of any medical conditions they may have. St Johns Ambulance will be on site throughout the event if any medical emergencies arise.

I hope that covers all you need to know, we look forward to you joining us on the day!’
