A little over two years ago i joined Wilmslow runners one cold Sunday morning, followed by regular sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.A late entry to the 4 villages ,quick trip to the quartermasters store (Trevors boot for a vest)resulted in eight minutes off my half marathon time.Cap’n Coombs commented afterwards the next eight would not be as easy, how right he was.Oh what a journey round our Treasured Island to get there, from the top of Shuttlingsloe to the sands of Blackpool.The tranquility of Rudyard to the industrial wastelands of Warrington ,Tony steers an unusual course.What hidden trinkets are in store this year i wonder!
