Tuesday Training – Club

The session for Tuesday. We aim to be on the trail, it does need some maintenance, but it worked ok last week.

We also need to bring hi viz bibs in case we need to revert to the road for any reason. Please make sure that your top does what it says on the tin! They do lose their glow over time, and it’s YOUR safety!   

This week, we are focusing on longer but reducing reps. Mentally, knowing that the distance is reducing helps, and you will be getting faster through the session…akin to running a negative split.

I don’t like going straight into the longest rep, hence the shorter faster efforts to fire up the fast twitch muscle fibres at the start…Similarly, one 400m rep built into the session, and then to finish. Finishing fast and strong.

Please note the G1/2 and G3/4 sessions. With our increasing numbers (all good), please do make a note, and manage your groups. Thank you.

1x 1800 metres (2.45 mins)

1x 1400 metres (2.30 mins)

1x 1000 metres (2.15 mins)

1x 400 metres  (jog recovery)

1x 1000 metres (2.00 mins)

1x 800 metres (2.00 mins)

2x 400 metres (jog recovery)

3x 200 metres (30 seconds)

1x 1400 metres (2.30 mins)
