Tuesday Training – Update: Input requested

Your input is needed…

We naturally want to return to training asap. EA have issued some guidelines but having been involved in a couple of webinars, they only scratch the surface!

  1. Maximum 6 to a Group…or five and Coach.
    1. Without a Coach or LIRF, insurance is invalidated
  2. Social distancing must be in place
  3. Currently no need for face masks
  4. Hand sanitizer to be available
  5. Anyone handling cones and/or markers to wear gloves
  6. Register of attendees required
  7. Guidelines required regards overtaking (venue specific)
  8. Awareness of handling loose clothing taken off before session etc.
  9. Permission from key stakeholder…I am in touch with The Rugby Club…This would be for car parking only, unless we use the trail
  10. Briefing to take place prior to the session.

Ideally, we want to start Tuesday 23rd.  I floated the return on facebook the other  night…Thanks for the feedback.

The ethos of our Club is how we all train together. It would be a shame to lose that, but some short term tweaks are needed.

Lets assume that we have the following facilities…The Trail, The Carrs, Styal Basin, Newgate Nature Reserve, Alderley Edge, Jim Evison.

My understanding is that we have the following qualified Coaches/LIRF…Nick, Roy, Nicky, Sally P, Don, Tim, Richard H, Rebecca.

In terms of WhatsApp Comms we have Gr1: Andrew/Gr2: Richard H/Gr3&4: Kate & Jan.

SO…How do we best co-ordinate a phased and small group return to training?

Roy, Nicky, Sally P, Kate, Don, Tim, Richard H, Rebecca…How much involvement do you each want?

In terms of your own LIRF development, do you want to set your own sessions? If the coach runs with the group, you can have six (including the coach).

Do we alternate training locations and times….6.30 meet/6.45 meet etc.? Large numbers meeting at the Club would be a challenge, unless the meets were staggered a minimum of 30 minutes apart.

A likely need to book onto the sessions to ensure that we don’t exceed the ratios.

Feedback appreciated to allow a planned return to training from next week.

Thanks all.  Take care,

Nick
