A popular race with some of our fell runners and a challenge or different run to others.
It’s back on Saturday 4th May 2019 for the 11th year the Bollington Brewing 3 Peaks Fell Race, officially the only fell race in the country that starts and finishes at a brewery!!
The race fee of £10 includes the race itself, and a free pint and chilli & rice back at the brewery.
Profits from the race are split 50% to Buxton Mountain Rescue and 50% to Bollington Festival which starts on the 10 May 2019.
Race starts at 2pm please arrive at least 30 minutes early.
The race is organised by Wilmslow Running Club with all the proceeds going directly to local charities. The proceeds of the race will be split between Thomas Theyer Foundation and PSU. The charities are providing a team of marshals. Last year we raised over £2500 for the charities
This year number collection will be at the start – farm road off Wood Lane adjacent to Owen Farm Wedding Barn WA16 7NY. Parking will be at the Wedding Barn (luxury, hard standing), near the railway (side of the road) or on the edge of the field near the start. As traditional we will retire to the Railway Inn after the race for presentations.
A 5 mile multi-terrain race on the quiet lanes, tracks and trails surrounding Manchester Airport runway 2. The terrain varies from grassy and muddy path to hard tarmac but is mostly good going
on quiet roads and surfaced trail. The route includes the iconic Bollin River Tunnel. The race distance is approximately 5 miles but the terrain does not permit the accurate measurement required for a UKA distance certificate.
Tempo run from club. Hi-Viz required until further notice. Head Torches can be worn too!
