    Bollington 3 Peaks Fell race

    A popular race with some of our fell runners and a challenge or different run to others.

    It’s back on Saturday 4th May 2019 for the 11th year the Bollington Brewing 3 Peaks Fell Race, officially the only fell race in the country that starts and finishes at a brewery!!

    The race fee of £10 includes the race itself, and a free pint and chilli & rice back at the brewery.

    Profits from the race are split 50% to Buxton Mountain Rescue and 50% to Bollington Festival which starts on the 10 May 2019.

    Race starts at 2pm please arrive at least 30 minutes early.

    Reps.  Unless advised otherwise Meet at the club at 6:45 ready for our Rep Sessions. Typically these will consist of a warm up [2-4k], a set of reps of various sessions [5-6k] in ability groups and then a cool down jog. .

    Bring Hi-Viz vest when evenings are dark as we may do the warm up/reps on various roads.

    Club Tempo Run from the Club House. In the event of a conflicting race being held tonight then the run is informal and runners can meet and do their own things, making use of the club facilities.

    NOTE occasionally runs may start  from a different place. In this event all runners will be notified in advance and this event updated to reflect that.

    Buxton Half Marathon
    May 26 @ 10:00 am

    The single lap route starts at Buxton’s Opera House and takes in some of the stunning Peak District countryside before returning and finishing in Buxton’s beautiful Pavilion Gardens. We advise you to arrive at 8:30am for the race starting at 10:00am.

    All race numbers to be collected on the day; just as in previous years, registration will be open from 8am in the Board Room inside the Pavilion Gardens.

    This year there is building work on the Octagon next door, you may have to go around the fencing to get in to the building. The manager of the Gardens has told me there is also a food and drink festival on that weekend so there will be plenty opportunity to replace the calories afterwards or for your friends and family to enjoy whilst you run!
