Wilmslow Club Members parkrun results 30th July 2022

Summer tends to bring about a lot of solo parkruns as runners explore the parkruns near and far away. NickJ visited Northwich and was first in his Age Category [AC]. IanS back at a quiet York. Andrew returned to Congleton to run his fastest parkrun this year. Rebecca – on fire now! – knocked over 100 seconds off her PB at South Manchester finishing first lady and fifth overall with her fastest time ever – Sub 19!!. That time was the quickest by A Lady member this week.

First timers enjoying the dry weather in the south saw Nicky hit an AG of 83%; Mike with his quickest time for 3 months. Further along the coast Julian, perhaps hoping for some sand between his toes just got concrete – still he ran his fastest parkrun since 2020.

Note on Alexandra Park – there’s no runs there for the next 3 weeks? Please check before you next schedule a trip.  I do know next week is the Manchester Caribbean Festival which is held there. Richard Solo’d there with his quickest time since returning from injury – partly because his son chased him round and got a PB!

Nic and Markus, also First Timers, hit Burnage. Nic first lady home and 4^th overall with an AG of 80.10%. In only her second parkrun she had a time of just over 19 minutes. Markus it was his fourth parkrun since he ran his 100^th in 2019.

Now for the more popular members parkruns.

Bramhall saw Barry Pipping Rob to be first Club member home. Rob was top on AG though with Barry second. Steve first timed and ran his quickest ever parkrun. PaulG on the other hand relaxed and took in the course in his 400^th parkrun.

The Breakfast club took Roy along to first time. Carolyn missed out on a PB by just 2 seconds. Roy his quickest since May. Ex member Sharon PB’d by 70 seconds – no doubt Chris paced her well.

The very popular Alderley Park saw four members first time. the J’s visit it. Sharon first lady home. A quick time for Oliver; a more relaxed one for Jarrod. Sharon top AG and an Age Category record too. Nic, Tracy and Sue volunteered.

To Wilmslow. The DrK rehab initiative commenced. Our local Hippy turned up – but no DrK! Sam was seen several times smiling and seemingly attempting to hitch hike at several places along the course. A couple of the oldies needing to pulled along by their huskies.

Hippy was awarded a discount of 3 minutes on his time! Damn – on rechecking the results they have taken it back!!

Sam as usual first home only  16 seconds off his PB and second on AG. Graham pacing Dave and others; James, Joe and dog pacing each other? Hippy overdid it a little. JP volunteering and cheering people on.
