Our 12 runners and our volunteers who helped were so glad that after a couple of days of extreme heat the weather cooled.
The race is a 2-lap course over 5 miles within the hidden grounds of Alderley Park, taking in the impressive lake and Organised by RunNorthWest.
Claire first WRC member to finish was also first lady. Andy and Nicky Category firsts.
Ian and Roy third in their category. It was nice to see Mark back and Roy was back after his stunt man audition for the next Tom Cruise film Top Run – last Saturday.

Thanks for your report Patrick. You’re right about ‘stunt man’ and as a precaution I took it easy through the woods twice to make sure I din’t repeat my antics of Saturday. Happy to report no falls this time, although, as a consequence, way off my best times in this race. Some great runs by Claire, Andy and Nicky.
