Wilmslow Members parkrun results 9th July 2022

A hot and sunny Saturday.  27 club members competed as runners, chaser and pacers at 7 parkrun events. With the heatwave warming more than the backs of runners. Most times were down on their recent parkruns. The again I wonder how many were saving themselves for the Wilmslow Summer 10k.

Bramhall had the usual suspects running. Paul 4^th on AG; Janine 4^th Lady finisher.

Looking at Soloists: Jarrod on fire with his recent hill running, took to the hills at Congleton with a pace that he ran back there in 2016. It was also his fastest parkrun since the C-Outbreak. Another of the hill runners – Richard chose the busiest event whilst checking out the Manager Vacancy at Town. Oliver chose the quietest and hilliest event – Lyme park – to test himself; the hills won

The Breakfast Boys cruised around Didsbury for their morning snack.

Alderley Park trebled its attendance this week – probably at the expense of Wilmslow. We had three out there. Rebecca first lady to finish with her fastest parkrun this year. And thereby setting the course record for females!!Mike rested his hilly legs and Bill completed his 4^th parkrun. He last ran in 2019 and on Saturday ran his fastest ever parkrun.

The just leaves Wilmslow as usual. We had 15 runners. Most coming to answer the appeal of RD Nicky for pacers.

We had the first male and female finisher in Sam and Nic. Running not pacing! Nic, first timing and first ever parkrun was top AG runner and just 2 seconds of her 5k race PB.

15 PB’s were set.  Colin and ANO joined our pacers. No one matched Colin’s accuracy 33 minutes dead. The majority of our pacers finished under their allotted times. Perhaps starting their watches when they passed the start line – or you just can’t slow our good runners down! 😊
