Wilmslow members parkrun results Saturday 18th of June 2022

A cool day for a change made it a pleasant running experience for our 24 club runners who attended 9 parkrun events Saturday.

There were 3 soloists out running. At a busy [for] Cheadle where they had over 60 runners this week, Matt – having trained on grass Tuesday – PB’d knocking almost two and  half minutes of his best time there. Oliver first-timed in South Wales at Colby. Whilst This Girl’s On Fire – Sue – recorded back to back being the first Lady finisher with her first run at Delamere. Only 5 more to her 200^th Parkrun.

At Bramhall the Pauls returned to face off each other for the first time in months.  PaulN ran his fastest time there since October to finish ahead of PaulN who was returning to Bramhall after his recent tourism activities. Only 6 more parkruns for PaulG for his 400^th! Sharon ran too finishing as 3rd lady and top of her Age Category [AC].

The Breakfast Boys were back at Burnage. Chris, a few seconds faster than last weeks outing, is creeping towards his 30th parkrun  – just 4 to go. Roy a few seconds slower than his last run here. Richard had his quickest at Burnage since 2018.

At Congleton Andrew was back again and improved last weeks time by over 20 seconds. 3^rd and Top AG runner too. Star reporter Ian, remaining in the area, knocked off over 30 seconds – perhaps being paced by Mrs Whittingham who was top in her AC 😊.

At Lyme Park Don was over 150 seconds quicker than his visit in 2019. Nicky, looking for pacers for Wilmslow July parkrun, was 15 seconds quicker than her previous [2018] time.

Just two more events where we had 5 runners at each. Didsbury Colin and the B’s made their debut. Tracy third lady but top AG with 83.10%. Alan chalked 2 minutes off his last time here. Colin and Nic were just behind – chasing/pacing? !! The boys all in the same category took the first 4 places!  And Tracy and Mrs Screawn were first two in their category!!

That just leaves Wilmslow. Sam back from Uni this week triumphed and PB’d too; and with his fastest parkrun ever!  Allan was our second runner home dead on 20 minutes. Graham our third runner with his quickest run for 6 months – claiming to run with an Ex LU player [But Andy is much older – you know!]. Andrew and Rebecca were our other two runners.  Rebecca choosing to pace two young rascals around. Andrew electing for a 20k run including the parkrun!!

• Top AG : Tracy [83.10%.]; Andrew [79.70%]
• AG’s 80%+: Tracy
• Tourist: Oliver [South Wales – near the coast!]
