Monday Night Track Training – update from Nick

Hi Everyone,

I have finally heard from the Duty Manager at Macclesfield about track hire.

Monday night is the best option…I have a list of those that have already expressed interest, but this is not exhaustive. So let me know if you are interested.

What might work is trialling and then seeing if there was an appetite to hold once every four/six weeks and to act as a measure of performance/fitness?

We will then have to decide if the specific Monday is to replace the Tuesday in the week in question or in addition.

There is a cost for hire of the track/facilities etc. We will need to decide if the Club is to cover that or the individual?

For now, can I suggest that I pick a Monday…publicise, and we take it from there?

It must be marathon training time! In the WRC Strava League, we had a couple of centurions Richard and Claire out running – last week’s positions:

  • Time: The same three: Richard; Claire; Andrew.
  • On Ascent – who else! – Rob, Steve Reynolds and GrahamS.

Longest Run was by RichardC [34.5k]. RichardH and SteveR were also over 30k.

And with a half marathon on that weekend we had

20k+runs were by: Nick, AndrewC, Tim, Huma, PaulN, Nic, PaulGJulian, James, IanS and Colin!
