XC and Training News – updated

Two great news updates from Nick:

Cheshire County XC Championships [updated]

After lengthy discussions with EA, I have finally had a licence granted to stage this event on Saturday 17th April, at Betley Farm (Cheshire/Staffs borders)…it’s a great venue.

I updated the County Committee tonight, and entries will open in the next week or so.

Andrew and Rebecca will be beating the drum to get our best teams out…the ladies are the current County Champions.

All clubs also need to supply marshals to allow the event to go ahead….given that spectators will not be allowed, this could be your way in! Literally!

A note went out today to all clubs regarding the event. With regard to help marshalling; you would have had an eMail from Nick adding:

The bottom line is that we need volunteers!

  • This could be GM runners and who are naturally ineligible.
  • It could be to help in setting up the day before
  • Given that spectators are not allowed, it could be your ticket to watch
  • Runners can only get there half an hour before their race…so this will allow the ladies to watch the men and vice versa, in addition to running!

Return to training.

I have the agreed plan from EA, and had conversations today.

We will be issuing updated guidance of our return to club training which will be wef. Tuesday 30th, asap. The clocks change [28th] the Sunday before too!

Nick
