A Look back at the previous week!

Apologies for the delay. I lost the first version I wrote earlier this week. And needed some motivation to redo – albeit a smaller version!! Last week was busy with the completion of the mob. The Mob match success for us was down to our children, parents, partners and associates turning out from us. We grew from just under 60 runners in Match 1 to around 120 for the Final Challenge.

Elsewhere Boris gave us some hope with the potential of training in groups/subgroups from March 29th.  Fingers crossed.

The Wilmslow Strava League concluded with PeterS ahead of Dan, both for Running Time and Distance. RichardC was third on distance, whilst Claire was third on time.  A Peter also led on ascent – this time PeterB! GrahamD and MarkB were second and third on ascent.

Furthest run was by BrianM with a 27.7k effort. Runners who also completed a 20k+ run included: Richards H&C, Claire, Grahams D&S, Dan and Matt,

Elsewhere our runners have stretched their legs out and about. Two young ladies took the Movie Thelma and Louise to heart. Avoiding the Derbyshire picnic police they ended up on a ledge.

Thelma: Ok, then listen; let’s not get caught.

Louise: What’re you talkin’ about? –

Thelma: Let’s keep goin’! –

Louise: What d’you mean ..

I wonder What happened next?

Seems that no one3 is injured at the moment from lack (i.e. zero) responses for an update. So a boring one from me on Tuesday then! Especially as I was feeling a little pleased with my self with the first two Week 8 training runs. Especially the bypass 5k route – matching my Mob run time. Then next day, I must have overpacked the bags shopping;  and after loading and unloading into car, and from car and into Kitchen. I rewarded myself with a brisk recovery walk with Luna. By early afternoon my back was killing me and I have been unable to run all week. Just songs going round in my head!

Well, I’m running down the road
Tryin’ to loosen my load
I’ve got seven aches on my mind
Four that wanna warn me
Two that wanna hurt me
One says their a friend of mine

Take it easy
Take it easy
Don’t let the sound of your own feet
Drive you crazy

Lighten up while you still can
Don’t even try to understand
Just find a place to make your run
And take it easy

Well, I’m standing on a corner
In Wilmslow, South Cheshire
And such a fine sight to see
It’s a girl, my Lord, in a Nike top

Slowin’ down to take a good look at me
You OK baby, don’t say maybe
I gotta know if your running
Can keep up with me
