Hi,

For those who don’t know us we’re a race events and timing company based in Stockport and we’re missing race days every bit as much as you are. We have recently launched two events with the aim of ’maintaining the levels of engagement within and between clubs as lockdowns and restrictions continue.

During the summer we created a trial competition setting up competitive Club vs Club events. It was enormous fun, and the engagement levels of club members went through the roof – we had 17 teams entered and a total of 2280 individual participants across the entire competition.

Winter Mob Match

The information we’re getting from various governing bodies and local authorities indicates that we are unlikely to be out there cheering you on over the timing mats for a while yet, so we figure that it’s time for a Winter Mob Match.

If you’ve not heard of Mob Match yet, it’s a very simple concept. Much like track & field league meetings, the first stage is to register your team into the competition. The entry fee is per team not participant, this covers all your matches.

We draw your team to go head-to-head against another, similar sized team then set up your event online. There are set date windows for the matches during which your participants sign up, run 5k and submit their time as per any other virtual event. At the end of the round, we repeat the cycle and draw again for your next match. As it’s a knockout competition we anticipate that you will play a minimum of 3 matches, a maximum of 5.

The ethos behind the event is to get people moving again with some healthy competition. Scoring is based on how many people you get out so every participant counts. If you took part in the competition last time, we have made a few tweaks to even out a few bumps but it’s essentially the same.

We’ve introduced an extra level of competition with our additional Warrior Match knockout competition, where you nominate your fastest runners against those from all the other clubs. It’s a Teams knock out competition scored separately from Mob Match.

We’ve attached a document with all the details Mob Match 2 & Warrior – Information

and the entry page is  here.

The entry window for Team entry is now open until 10th January 2021.

 We will also post more information on our Facebook pages (Links below);

Best Regards
