Catching up .. looking for mojo

Apologies for lack of news. It’s been long week – doing nothing!!

Catching up.

I gave you all a riddle last

What is it you can break – just by saying it’s name.

“Silence”

Hopefully you found that easy! 😊

This week’s riddle.

A boy was at a fairground and went to a booth where a man said to the boy,  “If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me £25, but if I cannot, I will pay you £30.”

The boy looked around and seeing no scale  he agrees, thinking no matter what the man writes he’ll cheat and just say he weighs more or less.

But in the end the boy ended up paying the man £25. How did the man win the bet?

And a harder one as it’s Christmas:

What is the best present you can receive for Christmas?

Now for Out and about

Well Festive fun started early last weekend. Lynn and Catherine chose the muddy woods  for the RB Christmas Stocking virtual 5 miler. Laura and Col enjoyed muddy runs too.

Some of us have an advent calendar chocolate to look forward to each day – but Rebecca gets out and runs each day so far. Rob concentrated on hills and pacing Damian and Jules! Not much wildlife for him: grey wagtail and red deer. Tracy walking, running and dog walking. A quiet week for Jan after Tatton.

Matt managed to get out a few evenings. PeterS now back running too.

WRC Strava League

An interesting and different week of running by our club members. On distance Dan was ahead of Rebecca who just pipped AndrewC!  Time-wise Rob led Brian who pipped young Dan. On Climbs it was quite normal: Rob ahead of IanS and Brian.

Quite a few 21k runners: Rebecca, Andrewc, Robin and Mick. GrahamD [22k] and RichardH [23k] were the top 2.
