XC anyone?

You should have received an eMail from Andrew Whittingham asking for feedback on the Cross Country

I reproduce the text and notification from MACL

We have received the below communications from the Manchester cross country league.
I  {Andrew] would be happy to take any feedback you may have.
The main questions are around what the league should do in the event of some of the season being cancelled? Would we still want a part season?
Personally I would be happy to support the league in the event of a part season but equally would fully support them if it didn’t look feasible.
Please have a read and reply any feedback to me and Janine who is copied in.

To: Club Contacts for the Manchester Area Cross Country League

Dear All,

Manchester Area Cross Country League – 2020/2021 Season?

I never imagined we would get to August and not know if we’ll have a season but I regret that’s about it – we don’t know. We can tell you that we are waiting for guidance from England Athletics. We can tell you we depend on local authorities rulings on gatherings. We can also tell you that we’ll do our very best but………. I think we should be prepared for a ban on competition for at least the start of the season. Meanwhile, it would help us to know what your thoughts might be about your club competing in a cross country race in the foreseeable future. What if we are able to hold a full season? What if we could only put one or two matches on? As I’m sure you’ll agree, there would be little point in attempting to put anything on if clubs don’t have the heart for it. If you don’t intend being the contact for the 20/21 season, please let me know and, if possible, give me the name and contact details of your successor.

With thanks and regards,

Brenda
