This week I chose Gavin Mendham. I remember when I first joined how friendly he was. Always giving support. We used to run together on Thursday Tempo nights.

Rob Downs: I remember a classic Gavin moment. Ian Smallwood and I were running the White Peak Marathon 2008. Gavin turned up to run the half marathon option. Ian persuaded Gavin to run the full distance so that we’d have a team. “C’mon Gavin you might as well”. Gavin duly stepped up and we won the team prize.
