Ladies Only – 24th November

Not sure if  the Festive 10k is sold out.  But just noticed this and thought of all you ladies!! This might be a different experience and challenge.

Swinton Running Club has traditionally always had a strong women’s section and a commitment to encourage women’s running. As a demonstration of this, the club joined together with the City of Salford to host a 5.25 mile run. Based on an idea from one of our club members, Marie Carvath, they first held the event in 1991 and encouraged by the very warm reception to the event from those taking part we have continued with the event ever since.

The 29th running of the City of Salford Women’s 5.25 Mile Run takes place on Sunday 24th November. The course is an undulating excellently marshalled run around the streets of Swinton, Monton & Salford. The course has been measured by a UK athletics approved course measurer and the mile markers are accurate to 15/20 metres. Water will be available at the finish along with a bespoke medal. Race starts 10:30.
