Update on Club Maintenance

An update from Simon regarding the works to be done at the club.

Building Works.
As ever in the building industry there are delays!
The chap doing the dry rot works to the changing rooms had an operation on his shoulder last week and his early estimates of his recovery have proved ambitious. We are now looking at the middle of October before we can commence. This allows the ladies to firm up what improvements they would like and report back – say by the end of September.

I was hoping to get the groundworker on the land drains on the track this week before the darker nights are upon us. An old construction trick is to completely ignore emails, phone calls and texts which is where I am at today. It will be done but he is avoiding telling me when he is available to start. Pete Watson cut back the overhanging branches last week.

Paul asked for the edges of the paving treads down to the changing rooms to be painted to avoid a trip hazard. Watson and Fenton Construction will put this in hand. If it’s not done by this time next week we will be avoiding any attempts at contacting us in the traditional way.
