Carolyn reports….
Sunday 10th saw a return to Tittesworth Reservoir, and it was a scorcher. A few Wilmslow RC runners headed to race the train, whilst I went back to Staffordshire to tackle the clouds! No fell kit was required other than sunscreen and water, lots of both.
Tony preferenced this race over a trip to Bury. Julie completed her 11th race in 6 weeks days against the locomotive! Her new age suits her well, but I missed her at the Roaches. I was over 25 minutes slower than my last attempt at this race and took the penultimate position. Insult to injury was falling in the last mile. Despite a few expletives, I did limp over the finishing line, there were a few DNF’s that day. All credit to everyone who survived the terrain, the heat, the ascent and the descent!
