Injury update

Peter Speake.
Pete damaged his Achilles in a park run a month ago. A bad year for injuries, this being the third so far. He hopes to start easy running in a couple of weeks.

Angela Maziere.
Tendonitis has dogged Angie for months now and there appears to be little let up. Any attempts at running soon get aborted and she feels it may be next summer before she is able to run pain free.

Jarrod Homer.
Jarrod had a toe operation a month ago which is healing to plan and he hopes to be running again in two weeks.

Brian McCoubrey.
The plantir fasciitis injury picked up at this year’s Wizard race shows no sign of improvement. Brian has managed a bikepacking weekend in the Lakes but running gets no closer.

Gail Hill.
The Farndon hamstring injury was no sooner on the mend than bench pressing furniture brought on sciatica. Gail has been restricted to Pilates but has got back to jogging up to three miles so she should be back training soon.

Zoe Eyre.
Whilst continuing with the shock treatment on the patella tendonitis, Zoe decided to attempt to do some mild gym work. This proved less than helpful and she has added a damaged facet in her lower spine to the tendonitis.

Adam Neale.
Adam has got a severe chest infection which will keep him out for six weeks.

Tim Billington.
Tim commented at the end of Angela Jackson’s recent talk that he wished he had heard her advice on rushing back a few months earlier. He has been dogged with sciatic pain for months now and each attempt back ends in more time off. He is now heeding Angela’s advice and waiting until the New Year.
