A flat course and fine weather ensured a large turnout and a quality field. Tony had encouraged a large Wilmslow contingent with the promise of "mug points".
This was my first 5k and listening to the more experienced runners the only tactic discussed seemed to be to "set off fast as you can then just hang on". The start was rather crowded and rather put paid to the setting off fast although even so hanging on still seemed to set in from about km 2.
There were some great Wilmslow times and no doubt a few PBs and even CRs.
